Adapted to climates from the transition zone northward; grows to 4', very dense root formations make excellent sod; adapted to fertile, deep silty soils; less vigorous in sand or clay soils, prefers neutral pH soils; rhizomatous; best stands incorporate legumes for nitrogen source.

Drill seeded to 1/2”–1” deep at 5-8 pounds PLS/acre (use 50–100% more seed if broadcast seeding). 125,000 seeds/pound.

Germination in 14 days, early spring/late summer.
