DR. JERRY PEPIN

Dr. Pepin is one of the leading North American authorities on turfgrasses and turfgrass breeding.  He has spoken and written extensively on turfgrasses in North America, Europe, Australia, Japan and China. He has presented at over a hundred turf conferences and seminars in the U.S., Canada and internationally.

Dr. Pepin is a past president of the Oregon Seed Trade Association (OSTA) and the several times chairman of the OSTA Research Committee.  Dr. Pepin is a former member of the National Turfgrass Evaluation Program Advisory Committee and a former member of the Plant Variety Protection Act advisory committee.

Since receiving his Ph.D. degree in Turfgrass Breeding and Genetics in 1971, Dr. Pepin has been responsible for the development of over 70 commercially-released, improved turfgrasses used all over the world.

Dr. Pepin is currently PICKSEED's Executive Vice President of Research and Technical Services. He publishes the Pepin Report as a means to communicate technical information and trends to customers.
