Steak Alfalfa (Bred for Beef) Steak outperforms in the 2-cut system often favoured by beef producers and shows high yield in other cutting regimes. Steak alfalfa has improved forage quality with higher pectin content (more digestible cell walls) and higher average daily gain with lower fibre content for more beef or milk.
